Hey there! I'm cmake (or niwely). I'm an anonymous developer navigating the digital world from Bahrain, with roots in Egypt. Often found deep in a terminal, I possess a profound passion for all things Linux and open source. Being autistic gives me a unique perspective which I channel into my development work and system administration.

On my daily driver, my trusty laptop, I use arch btw, with Hyprland for a slick, keyboard-driven experience. This machine has been with me through thick and thin:

• Model: Dell Latitude 5300 2-in-1 (Enterprise edition, faithfully serving since Dec 31, 2019)
• CPU: Intel i5-8265U (4 Cores / 8 Threads)
• RAM: 16GB
• Storage: 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD

Of course, no long-serving machine is without its battle scars and personality: the integrated keyboard's backlight is sadly bricked, so I rely on a "retarded" (but functional!) USB keyboard and a trusty Dell USB mouse. Character, right?

As a dedicated Linux Sysadmin, my knowledge is extensive. If it runs on Linux, I've likely tinkered with it, configured it, or broken and fixed it (multiple times).

• Operating Systems & Virtualization: Deep expertise in Linux (various distributions, including Arch on personal devices), Proxmox VE (very experienced), and containerization with Docker, and LXC/LXD.
• Programming & Web Development: Proficient in Python (including the Flask framework and discord.py), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for scripting, automation, backend services, and frontend experiences.
• System & Network Administration: Managing servers, virtual machines, network configurations, and ensuring high availability is my bread and butter.

My homelab is an ever-evolving beast, fueled by a 1.5gbps internet connection, btw! Currently, a prized piece of kit is my Dell PowerEdge R710.

Acquired locally in bahrain, same day shipping. actually, I'm the shipping itself. Moving on, if you're from bahrain and want the same server, go to reunion computers and ask them. it costed me 70 whole BHD, 60 BHD and then 10 BHD for the 512GB SSD.
